8th Grade Trip

DEPARTURE: The buses will depart from Nathan Hale-Ray Middle School at 6:30 AM on April 20. Students should arrive at school by 5:30 AM and report immediately to their assigned chaperone.
Please call Irene Parady by 5:00 AM (873-1576) if your child is unable to make the trip for any reason.
LUGGAGE:  Each student is allowed one (1) medium sized suitcase.  Label it clearly with your name and address.  Luggage will not be available to students until arrival at the hotel later in the evening.  Any items needed by students during the first day of the trip should be taken with them on the bus that morning in their carry on or backpack.
CLOTHING:

* Sleepwear
* Tops, pants, skirts, socks
* Dress clothes for Wednesday
* Sweatshirt, light jacket, sweater
* Rain gear
* Hat
* Sunglasses / Sunscreen
* Comfortable shoes
* Bathing suit
* Watch
* Camera, film, magazines, batteries, etc. Film & batteries are expensive in gift shops.

ACCIDENTS
&
ILLNESS:

Every effort will be made to contact parents in the event of illness or accident of a serious nature during the trip.  If a student feels sick during the trip, they should see their assigned chaperone.
SPENDING: Seventy-five to one-hundred dollars ($75-$100) will be sufficient. 
CAMERAS:

Please print your name on a piece of tape and tape it to your camera.  Bring several rolls of film for the camera.

RETURN: When we get to Connecticut on Friday night, we will start a phone chain to let parents know our estimated time of arrival at the middle school parking lot.
