Emancipation of Minors
Status of Eighteen-Year Old Students
All school regulations and
rules apply to all students in attendance regardless of age. Those students who
have reached the age of majority are excused from those regulations requiring
notes from parents for absences, tardiness, or other matters for which they are
requested. The administration will deal directly with these students on such
matters.
It is the responsibility
of the student to inform the administration that he/she wishes to be treated as
an adult.
It is the policy, however,
to report all academic and disciplinary matters to the parents of the students,
regardless of the age of the student involved.
